Scholarships

The emphasis of the ASCN programme is on supporting individuals. Therefore, promising researchers in the social sciences and humanities from the South Caucasus are given the opportunity to apply for scholarships so they may strengthen their research capacities and broaden their professional networks in their academic field.

Selection Criteria for all ASCN grants and scholarships

  • field of study: social sciences and humanities
  • outstanding academic qualifications
  • good English, French, or German language skills
 Grants are open to Georgian and Armenian citizens residing in their home country.

The ASCN programme offers the following types of grants:
  • exchange semester at the University of Fribourg; open to MA students from Ilia State University (Georgia), Yerevan State University and Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Brusov (Faculty of linguistics and intercultural communication). The next call for applications will be open in September 2012.
